Certified Organic Psyllium Husks – Soluble fibre for health and wellbeing
Soluble fibre from Psyllium husk, when used as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and lower cholesterol levels.
Each level teaspoon (tsp) contains:
Psyllium husk (Plantago ovata) . . . 1.2 g
Adults and Adolescents 13 years plus:
Take 4 tsp 2-3 times daily. To prepare, stir 4 level tsp (4.8 g) into at least 250 ml (1 glass) water, juice or milk, stir briskly and drink immediately.
Children 6-12 years:
Take 2 tsp 2-3 times daily. To prepare, stir 2 level tsp (2.4 g) into at least 125ml (1/2 glass) water, juice or milk, stir briskly and drink immediately.
All age groups:
Maintain adequate fluid intake. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications. Effects observed 12-24 hours after first dose, and may take 2-3 days. Do not swallow in dry form. May cause temporary gas and/or bloating.
